About

Colin has an engineering and business development background. He graduated from the University of Auckland with a degree in civil engineering and joined the design firm, Harrison Grierson as a design engineer in 1981.

​Colin was invited on to the board in 1989 and served as a director till 2014. Colin stepped down as an executive director in 2014 to take on the role of consultant and pursue other business interests which include a management and advisory role at Tissu New Zealand Ltd.
Christine and Colin Cranfield bought the Tissu New Zealand Ltd business in April 2017 and have set about refreshing and expanding the brand and adding new textile lines.
Christine has a design background, working for boutique architectural and landscape design firms before making a career change and coordinating events at Auckland’s largest performing arts centre, the Aotea Centre.
She stopped working when they started a family but continued to work with Colin on house renovations, acting as interior designer and project manager on several projects together.

​​Christine is a student of the Nanette Cameron Design School’s interior design course and along with running the Tissu business continues her interior design work.
